To know more about the power of robot writers, we also invite you to attend the panel discussion about robot journalism with our CEO, Claude de Loupy,  as well as Laurence Dierickx, Journalist & Developer from the Université libre de Bruxelles,  and Helen Vogt, Head of Innovations at the Norwegian News Agency. This bootcamp will be moderated by Geir Terje Ruud, Founder of the Oslo Media House, and will discuss how robots and smart bots are spreading to deliver more and better news. The bootcamp is entitled “YOUR NEXT RECRUIT MIGHT BE A ROBOT” and will be held on Wednesday the 15th (16h45-17:40).

The GEN Summit in short

The GEN summit is a must-attend event for the media industry. This year’s edition will focus on the rise of platform-driven news. Since 2011, the Global Editors Network gathers more than 600 editors-in-chief and media innovators to discuss the latest innovations in newsrooms. Participants of more than 60 countries have the opportunity to meet technology and digital suppliers for media and assist to presentations and bootcamps on the latest journalism trends.  The GEN summit is also well-known for the Data Journalism Awards that recognise outstanding work in the field of data-driven journalism worldwide. This year, 63 projects have been shortlisted out of 471 submissions. The winners will be announced at the DJA Ceremony on Thursday evening the 16th of June.
